Mehrangarh Fort

This is one of the largest forts in India, which was constructed by Rao Jodha in 1459. Situated on a 150 meter high hill, Mehrangarh fort consists of extensive garden, many temples and Maharaja’s palace. The major highlights inside this fort are Chamunda Mataji Temple, Sheesh Mahal, Moti Mahal and many others. The fort also has a very huge museum that has a big collection of fire-arms, costumes and paintings.

Jaswant Thada

It is a cenotaph located in Jodhpur, which was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in the year 1899 to honor his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The memorial is made out of intricately carved sheets of marble, which emits a warm glow when the sunrays fall on it. Jaswant Thada is constructed in the form of a temple with pillars, domes, frescos and extraordinary sculptures.

Umaid Bhawan Palace

This Palace has 347 rooms and considered as one of the world’s largest private residences. The foundation of Umaid Bhawan Palace was laid in 1929 by Maharaja Umaid Singh and was completed in the year 1943. It is made up of yellow sandstone and divided into 3 parts, i.e. a museum, residence of royal highness and a heritage hotel. Umaid Bhawan Palace is a wonderful fusion of Indian architectural features with western technology.
