Kandariya Mahadev Temple

This temple is one of the most tallest, beautiful & largest Hindu Temple of the Khajuraho Group of Temples. Kandariya Mahadev Temple dates back to 1050 BC and was built by Raja Dhandadeva, a Chandela ruler. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva & embellished with ornate carvings and sculptures.

Raneh Falls

Raneh Falls is located 20 km away from Khajuraho that forms a five km long and thirty meter deep canyon, this flows down at the Ken Gharyal Sanctuary. Large number of tourists visit this place to view sunset.

Vishwanath Temple

This temple was constructed in 1002 by the Chandella king Dhanga. Vishwanath houses a striking marble Shivalinga, which is the prime deity and Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It also has large idol of Nandi (the Bull – companion and closest aide of Lord Shiva).

Chitragupta Temple

This temple is dedicated to Sun God (Surya) and was constructed in the 11th century. It has a spectacular 5 feet high standing idol of Lord Surya driving a chariot, which is operated by seven horses. Chitragupta Temple is decorated with wonderfully carved walls and gives has many carvings that depict historic events. The different types of stone carvings represent Lord Vishnu in the eleven headed form and erotic couples.
