Travel Route

01

Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi international airport for 18 Nights Indian Panorama Tour, you will be met by our company representative and transferred to the car to drive towards your hotel. Check-in the hotel for comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2 : Delhi

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for full day guided tour in Delhi. You will visit Red Fort (Lal Qila) – this monument is made up of red sandstone and also known as “walled city”. The construction was initiated by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1526. Humayun’s Tomb- the first garden tomb of a Mughal Emperor in India and constructed by Mughal emperor Humayun’s wife Bega Begum in between 1569-1570. This monument has been declared UNESCO World Heritage Site and demonstrates Mughal architecture with Persian style of garden. Jama Masjid – largest mosque in India and was constructed between 1644 – 1658. Around twenty-five thousand people can offer prayer in this mosque at a single point of time and was constructed by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Also visit Qutub Minar – it is one of the most artistic & skilful Islamic architectures whose basic foundation was laid in 1199 AD by Qutubuddin Aibak. This thirteenth century Minar is 72.5 mts (about 238 feet) high and covered with intricate carvings and wonderful inscribed verses from the holy Quran. Lotus temple- also known as the Baha’i Temple and was constructed in the year 1986 in the form of a Lotus-like structure made up of pure white marble. It comprises of twenty-seven free-standing marble-clad petals and belongs to the Baha’i community. Visit Raj Ghat- it is a memorial built on Mahatma Ghandi’s cremation site. There are also two museums in this premises, which are Gandhi Memorial Museum and Gandhi Smriti Museum. In the evening, you will enjoy rickshaw ride in the bustling bazaars of Chandni Chowk and also tour Khari Baoli spice market. Overnight stay in hotel at Delhi.

Day 3 : Delhi – Agra

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will be transferred to the car to proceed towards Agra. On arrival, check-in the hotel for short relaxation. Later visit Agra Fort, which is made up of red sandstone and was built in the year 1565 A.D by Mughal emperor Akbar. In the evening, you will visit Taj Mahal at the time of sunset. This monument is one of the seven wonders of the world and was constructed by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1632-1654 A.D. in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight stay in hotel at Agra.

Please Note: Taj Mahal remains  closed on Fridays.

Day 4 : Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Abhaneri – Jaipur

Visit Taj Mahal again at the time of sunrise and notice the beauty of this monument. Return to hotel for breakfast and short relax. Later you will be transferred to the car, as you will leave for Jaipur. En Route, visit Fatehpur Sikri – deserted city which was founded by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1569. It is one of the finest preserved collections of Indian Mughal architecture and comprised of many buildings. Then you will visit Abhaneri, which is famous for Chand Baori  step-well. it is one of India’s largest and deepest step-wells. On completion of the sightseeing, you will drive again towards Jaipur. Check-in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 : Jaipur

Have breakfast at the hotel, then leave for full day guided sightseeing in Jaipur. Visit Amber fort, which is located 11 km away from city of Jaipur and was built in by Raja Man Singh in the 16th century on a hilltop. It is a wonderful example of enthralling blend of Muslim and Hindu architecture constructed in white marble and red sandstone. The highlight of this fort is Sheesh Mahal-a palace acknowledged for its intricate mirror work. You can also enjoy a wonderful elephant ride in this fort. Also visit City Palace, conceived and designed by Maharaja Jai Singh, this palace is a perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The City Palace complex has many buildings, courtyards and impressive gateways. The palace houses Diwan-e-Khas (the Hall of Private Audience), the Diwan-e-Aam, solid marble Mubarak Mahal, and Sawai Jai Singh’s seven-storey facade Chandra Mahal (“moon palace”). Chandra Mahal is still the residence of the present royal family. Then visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), which was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. It has more than 953 windows and the bee-hive structure is really wonderful. The king constructed this palace for the royal women to view the everyday market life through the windows. Also visit Albert Hall Museum, which is one of the oldest in the state of Rajasthan and a superb example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. The museum is located in Ram Niwas garden and has a rich and big collection of artifacts such as colorful crystal works, metal sculptures, stones, carpets and paintings. Overnight stay in hotel at Jaipur.

Day 6 : Jaipur – Bikaner

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Bikaner by road. On arrival, you will check in the hotel for short relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel at Bikaner.

Day 7 : Bikaner – Jaisalmer

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will visit Junagarh Fort – which was constructed in between 1589 – 1593 A.D. by Raja Rai Singh. This fort is made up of red sandstone and marble. Also visit Karni Mata Temple, wherein a 14th-century incarnation of Goddess Durga is worshipped along with rats. Then visit Bhandeshwar Jain temple, which was built by Bhanda Shah (Jain merchant) in the 15th century to honor the 23rd Jain tirthankar, Parsvanathji. Also visit Lalgarh Palace and museum, which was built by Maharaja Ganga Singh in the memory of his father. On completion of the sightseeing, you will leave for Jaisalmer. Later check-in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 8 : Jaisalmer (Overnight in Sand Dunes)

Have breakfast at the hotel and leave for sightseeing in Jaisalmer wherein you will see Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Fort). Then you will see beautiful mansions or havelis with balconies and windows covered by fine carved screens. There are many beautiful havelis along the narrow lanes in Jaisalmer town, which has medieval ambience. Then you will leave for Sam Sand Dunes to enjoy camel safari. Also enjoy Rajasthani folk dance and bon-fire. Overnight stay in a tent.

Day 9 : Jaisalmer – Jodhpur

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will drive towards Jodhpur. On arrival, check-in the hotel for short relaxation. Later visit Mehrangarh Fort – one of the largest forts in India, which was constructed by Rao Jodha around 1460; Umaid Bhawan Palace – one of the world’s largest private residences having 347 rooms; Jaswant Thada- a white marble memorial built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, by his son Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1899. Overnight stay in hotel at Jodhpur.

Day 10 : Jodhpur – Narlai

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will drive towards Narlai. On arrival, check-in the hotel for short relaxation. Later you will visit Rawla Narlai which is a famous heritage hotel decorated with hanging baubles, stained glass and frescoes. Also enjoy jeep ride to explore the beauty of this wonderful village.

Day 11 : Narlai – Ranakpur – Udaipur

Have breakfast at the tent resort, then you will leave for Udaipur by road. En Route, you will visit Ranakpur Jain Temple dedicated to Lord Adinath, who was the first Jain Tirthankara.  It also includes Chaumukha Temple and consists of several other Jain temples like the temple of Parshvanath. After visiting this place, you will drive again towards Udaipur. On arrival check-in the hotel for relax. Later you can enjoy boat ride in Lake Pichola to enjoy the sunset. Overnight stay in hotel at Udaipur.

Day 12 : Udaipur

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for sightseeing in Udaipur. Visit Jagdish Temple, which is an Indo-Aryan temple constructed in 1651 A.D. by Maharana Jagat Singh and dedicated to Lord Jagannath; City Palace- a big palace constructed concurrently by Maharana Uday Singh, in 1559 and his successor over 300 years. It is a great fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles; Saheliyon-Ki-Bari – a royal garden built by Maharana Sangram Singh between 1710 – 1734 for the royal ladies. This garden has kiosks, lotus pool, fountains and marble elephants; Fateh Sagar Lake, an artificial lake constructed by Maharana Fateh Singh in 1889. Overnight stay in hotel at Udaipur.

Day 13 : Udaipur – Chennai (by flight)

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be dropped at Udaipur airport to board your flight to Kochi. On arrival, you will check-in the hotel for relax. Later visit Government Museum- one of the oldest museums in India, which was constructed in the college of Fort St. George in the year 1851. Also visit Birla Planetarium- it provides insight into the cosmic world. Vivekananda house – a museum in Chennai which is an important landmark for the followers of Swami Vivekananda. Valluvar Kottam- The monument is in the shape of a temple chariot and contains a lively and splendid statue of the great Tamil Poet and Saint Thiruvalluvar who wrote ‘Thirukkural’. Overnight stay in hotel at Chennai.

Day 14 : Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for Mahabalipuram. En Route, you will explore Kanchipuram. Visit Kanchi Kamakshi Temple, Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple and Sri Ekambareswar Temple. On completion of the sightseeing, you will drive towards Mahabalipuram. On arrival, you will check-in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 15 : Mahabalipuram

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will explore Mahabalipuram. Later you will visit Shore Temple – it is one of the oldest, five-storied Hindu structural temples in South India. This temple dates back to 8th century A.D and the structure features Dravidian style. Also visit Pancha Pandava Rathas – These wonderful structures dates back to the 7th century and named after the Pandavas & other characters of Mahabharata. Visit Arjuna’s Penance- one of the most popular 7th and 8th century stone carvings and has figures of Gods, semi divine creatures, beasts, birds and animals. In the evening, enjoy a walk on Mahabalipuram Beach. Overnight stay in hotel at Mahabalipuram.

Day 16 : Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Pondicherry by road. On arrival, check-in the hotel for short relax. Later you will visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram – It was founded in 1926 by Aurobindo Ghose. This ashram consist of many buildings and has Samadhi of Sri Aurobindo & Mother Mirra Richard. Also visit Auroville- a township which was founded in 1968 by Mirra Richard and designed by the French architect Roger Anger with a purpose to achieve human unity. Then visit Raj Niwas also called as ‘Palais du Gouvernement’ and was constructed during the 18th century. This place is now the residence of the Lt. Governor of Pondicherry and available for common people. In the evening, you will visit Pondicherry beach and relax for some time. Overnight stay in hotel at Pondicherry.

Day 17 : Pondicherry – Madurai

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for Madurai by road. On arrival, you will check in the hotel for short relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel at Madurai.

Day 18 : Madurai

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for full day sightseeing in Madurai. Visit Meenakshi  Temple (Meenakshi Amman Temple)- It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, but this temple is named after the deity and goddess Parvati. The current structure of this temple was built in 16th century by Nayak King. Also visit Thirumalai Nayak Palace, which was built in 16th century by Nayak ruler Thirumalai Nayak. This palace depicts beautiful Indo-Sarcenic architecture and the major highlight of this palace is the light and sound show that depicts the life of Tirumalai Nayak and Silapathikaram. In the evening, you will again go to Meenakshi  Temple to see Palli Arai ceremony. Overnight stay in hotel at Madurai.

Day 19 : Madurai – Kovalam – Trivandrum airport

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will drive towards Trivandrum. En Route, you will explore Kovalam by visiting Thiruvallam Parasurama Temple, Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium and Lighthouse Beach. Later you will be dropped at Trivandrum airport to board your flight to home or next destination.
