Travel Route

01

Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival at Delhi international airport for 22 Nights Exclusive India Tour, you will be met by our company representative and transferred to the car to drive towards your hotel. Check-in the hotel for comfortable overnight stay.

Day 2 : Delhi

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for full day guided tour in Delhi. You will visit Red Fort (Lal Qila) – this monument is made up of red sandstone and also known as “walled city”. The construction was initiated by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1526. Humayun’s Tomb- the first garden tomb of a Mughal Emperor in India and constructed by Mughal emperor Humayun’s wife Bega Begum in between 1569-1570. This monument has been declared UNESCO World Heritage Site and demonstrates Mughal architecture with Persian style of garden. Jama Masjid – largest mosque in India and was constructed between 1644 – 1658. Around twenty-five thousand people can offer prayer in this mosque at a single point of time and was constructed by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Also visit Qutub Minar – it is one of the most artistic & skilful Islamic architectures whose basic foundation was laid in 1199 AD by Qutubuddin Aibak. This thirteenth century Minar is 72.5 mts (about 238 feet) high and covered with intricate carvings and wonderful inscribed verses from the holy Quran. Lotus temple- also known as the Baha’i Temple and was constructed in the year 1986 in the form of a Lotus-like structure made up of pure white marble. It comprises of twenty-seven free-standing marble-clad petals and belongs to the Baha’i community. Visit Raj Ghat- it is a memorial built on Mahatma Ghandi’s cremation site. There are also two museums in this premises, which are Gandhi Memorial Museum and Gandhi Smriti Museum. In the evening, you will enjoy rickshaw ride in the bustling bazaars of Chandni Chowk and also tour Khari Baoli spice market. Overnight stay in hotel at Delhi.

Day 3 : Delhi – Varanasi

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Delhi airport to board your flight to Varanasi. On arrival, you will be transferred to hotel for relax. In the evening, you will go for “Aarti” at the river Ganges. Overnight stay in hotel at Varanasi.

Day 4 : Varanasi

Early morning leave for a boat excursion along the River Ganges to see the bathing Ghats and cremation site. After having breakfast at the hotel, you can walk through narrow alleys of the ancient city of Varanasi. Then visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The current shape of this temple was constructed by princess of Indore, Late Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar in 1780. Then leave for excursion tour to Sarnath which is 10 kilometers away from Varanasi. Sarnath is a Buddhist pilgrimage center and at this place Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment and also see the museum. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 : Varanasi – Khajuraho

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will be dropped at Varanasi airport to board your flight to Khajuraho. On arrival, you will check-in the hotel for short relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel at Khajuraho.

Day 6 : Khajuraho

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for sightseeing in Khajuraho. Visit Kandariya Mahadeva Temple, Vishwanath Temple and Lakshmana Temple. Overnight stay in hotel at Khajuraho.

Day 7 : Khajuraho – Agra

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for Agra. On arrival, you will visit Taj Mahal at the time of sunset. This monument is one of the seven wonders of the world and was constructed by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1632-1654 A.D. in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Overnight stay in hotel at Agra.

Please Note: Taj Mahal remains  closed on Fridays.

Day 8 : Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Abhaneri – Jaipur

If interested, you can visit Taj Mahal again at the time of sunrise and notice the beauty of this monument. Return to hotel for breakfast and short relax. Then visit Agra Fort, which is made up of red sandstone and was built in the year 1565 A.D by Mughal emperor Akbar. Later you will be transferred to the car, as you will leave for Jaipur. En Route, visit Fatehpur Sikri – deserted city which was founded by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1569. It is one of the finest preserved collections of Indian Mughal architecture and comprised of many buildings. Then you will visit Abhaneri, which is famous for Chand Baori  step-well. it is one of India’s largest and deepest step-wells. On completion of the sightseeing, you will drive again towards Jaipur. Check-in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9 : Jaipur

Have breakfast at the hotel, then leave for full day guided sightseeing in Jaipur. Visit Amber fort, which is located 11 km away from city of Jaipur and was built in by Raja Man Singh in the 16th century on a hilltop. It is a wonderful example of enthralling blend of Muslim and Hindu architecture constructed in white marble and red sandstone. The highlight of this fort is Sheesh Mahal-a palace acknowledged for its intricate mirror work. You can also enjoy a wonderful elephant ride in this fort. Also visit City Palace, conceived and designed by Maharaja Jai Singh, this palace is a perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The City Palace complex has many buildings, courtyards and impressive gateways. The palace houses Diwan-e-Khas (the Hall of Private Audience), the Diwan-e-Aam, solid marble Mubarak Mahal, and Sawai Jai Singh’s seven-storey facade Chandra Mahal (“moon palace”). Chandra Mahal is still the residence of the present royal family. Then visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), which was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. It has more than 953 windows and the bee-hive structure is really wonderful. The king constructed this palace for the royal women to view the everyday market life through the windows. Also visit Albert Hall Museum, which is one of the oldest in the state of Rajasthan and a superb example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. The museum is located in Ram Niwas garden and has a rich and big collection of artifacts such as colorful crystal works, metal sculptures, stones, carpets and paintings. Day 10 : Jaipur – Pushkar – Jodhpur

Have breakfast at the hotel, then leave for Jodhpur by road. En Route you will explore Pushkar to visit Brahma Temple, which is the one and only temple wherein Lord Brahma (creator of the world) is worshipped. This temple was constructed in the 14th century. Then you will visit Pushkar Lake, which is one of the most sacred lakes of India and believed to be originated when the lotus flower petals fell on earth from the hands of Lord Brahma. This lake is encircled by many bathing Ghats, temples and palaces. After the completion of the sightseeing, you will drive towards Jodhpur. On arrival, check-in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 11 : Jodhpur – Jaisalmer

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will go for sightseeing and visit Mehrangarh Fort – one of the largest forts in India, which was constructed by Rao Jodha around 1460; Umaid Bhawan Palace – one of the world’s largest private residences having 347 rooms; Jaswant Thada- a white marble memorial built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, by his son Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1899. After the completion of the sightseeing, you will drive towards Jaisalmer. On arrival, check-in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12 : Jaisalmer – Manvar Desert Camp

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Manvar. On arrival, you will check-in the tent resort and relax. You will enjoy Jeep safari and many other enthralling activities that are available in this fascinating camp. Overnight stay in tent at Manvar.

Day 13 : Manvar – Ranakpur – Udaipur

Have breakfast at the tent resort, then you will leave for Udaipur by road. En Route, you will visit Ranakpur Jain Temple dedicated to Lord Adinath, who was the first Jain Tirthankara.  It also includes Chaumukha Temple and consists of several other Jain temples like the temple of Parshvanath. Then drive again towards Udaipur. On arrival check-in the hotel for relax. Later you can enjoy boat ride in Lake Pichola to enjoy the sunset. Overnight stay in hotel at Udaipur.

Day 14 : Udaipur

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for sightseeing in Udaipur. Visit Jagdish Temple, which is an Indo-Aryan temple constructed in 1651 A.D. by Maharana Jagat Singh and dedicated to Lord Jagannath; City Palace- a big palace constructed concurrently by Maharana Uday Singh, in 1559 and his successor over 300 years. It is a great fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles; Saheliyon-Ki-Bari – a royal garden built by Maharana Sangram Singh between 1710 – 1734 for the royal ladies. This garden has kiosks, lotus pool, fountains and marble elephants; Fateh Sagar Lake, an artificial lake constructed by Maharana Fateh Singh in 1889. Overnight stay in hotel at Udaipur.

Day 15 : Udaipur – Mumbai

Have breakfast at the hotel and then you will leave for Udaipur airport to board your flight to Mumbai. On arrival at this place, you will check-in the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel at Mumbai.

Day 16 : Mumbai

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for sightseeing in Mumbai. You will visit Gateway of India- one of the famous landmarks in Mumbai, which was constructed to honor the visit of Queen Mary and King George V in 1924. Elephanta Island – one of the most visited islands in Mumbai and well-known for cave temple that has carved out of the rock. It can be reached by taking a ferry from Gateway of India. It is now listed as UNESCO world heritage site and maintained by Archaeological survey of India (ASI). Prince of Wales Museum- This museum is also called as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and overlooks the Arabian sea. Prince of Wales Museum is a wonderful fusion of Indo-saracenic and western Indian style of architecture. Bandra Fort -It is also known Castelo da Aguada, which is well-known for fresh water. Bandra Fort is now owned by Archaeological survey of India (ASI) and comprised of amphitheatre, garden and pathways. Overnight stay in hotel at Mumbai.

Day 17 : Mumbai – Kochi

Have breakfast at the hotel and then you will leave for Udaipur airport to board your flight to Mumbai. On arrival at this place, you will check-in the hotel. Later you will leave for sightseeing in Cochin (Kochi) to visit Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church and Indo-Portuguese museum. In the evening also enjoy traditional Kathakali dance at Kathakali. Overnight stay at Kochi.

Day 18 : Kochi – Munnar

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for Munnar. After reaching this place, you will check-in the hotel for short relax. Later you will visit Mattupetty dam, Eravikulam National Park and Kundala lake. Overnight stay in hotel at Munnar.

Day 19 : Munnar – Periyar

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for Periyar. After reaching this place, you will check-in the hotel for short relax. Later you will visit Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary and Periyar lake. Overnight stay in hotel at Periyar.

Day 20 : Periyar – Alleppey Houseboat

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for Alleppey. After reaching this place, you will check-in the Houseboat. You will cruise through the lagoons, lakes and small narrow canals to see farming and traditional fishing. Overnight stay in the Houseboat.

Day 21 : Alleppey – Kovalam

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for Kovalam. On arrival, check-in the hotel for relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel at Kovalam.

After having breakfast at the hotel, you will explore Kovalam. Visit Lighthouse Beach, Thiruvallam Parasurama Temple, Akkulam Lake and Halcyon Castle (Kovalam Palace). Overnight stay in hotel at Kovalam.

Day 23 : Kovalam – Trivandrum sightseeing and drop at airport

Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for Trivandrum. Then visit Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Shanghumukham Beach and Poovar Island. On completion of the sightseeing you will you will be dropped at Trivandrum airport to board your flight to home or next destination.
